There are many things about my kids that I have to be proud about. I think the thing that springs to mind first is how well-behaved the boys are when we go out in public. Last night, for example, Dan’s dad took us all out to dinner at O’Charley’s. The boys didn’t have any meltdowns. […]
I’m constantly amazed at how well they play with each other. And last night, I was amazed at how well they played with the girls who live next door. We had our neighbor and her two daughters, 2 and 4, over for dinner. After dinner, the kids all sat in the living room and played […]
Well, it happens you caught me on a good morning. The boys got a fancy (for us) breakfast of milk, toast and a cheese omelette. Mommy, meanwhile, had a cup of coffee and is considering some oatmeal here shortly. I actually cook pretty much every day. Breakfast is usually cereal, fruit and milk. But omelettes […]
Toys. And babies. And their toys. This picture is actually pretty tame. They boys have only been playing for about 10 minutes. The worst comes at the end of the when all the toys have been strewn across the entire living room and Henry has been Godzilla to the train table (not pictured). There is […]
My great Aunt Joyce! So the boys’ great-great-aunt. That’s pretty outstanding. Of course, I was either so absorbed in the visit or so exhausted from the holidays that I forgot to take any pictures. She came up with her kids, Linda and Rick, the Wednesday after Christmas and took us all out to dinner. The […]
I’m not sure that we’ve developed any rituals. It’s my hope that we’ll be able to establish a consistent (and tech-free) family dinner. And that the boys will get into decorating the Christmas tree with me when they’re older. But right now, our only “ritual” is to keep the babies alive every day.
I wish I had looked at this earlier! I would have taken a picture. The boys chill in their highchairs and chow down on (usually) some fruit and oatmeal, then bottles. I either make dinner before the boys eat or during their 30 minutes of reflux time before bed. They tend to get mad at […]
First off, I feel like this question is kind of judgy. Like, “Hey mom, why is your ass so big?” Seriously. Why’s it gotta be like that. Secondly, the boys and I went for a walk yesterday. It’s been too damn hot to do too much outside and most of the workout DVDs I have […]
